Randeep Hooda

Hailing from a small village in Haryana, bollywood actor Randeep Hooda was born in 1976 to parents committed to the common good – his mother was a social worker and his father was a surgeon!

The actor did a variety of odd jobs before finally finding his calling in his first movie in 2001 – Monsoon Wedding. Hooda’s film career did not take right off after his first film, but he eventually made some others including D (2005), Darna Zaroori Hai (2006), Karma Aur Holi (2009), and Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai (2010).

Hooda has been in a smattering of other films besides those listed, and is most recently known for his roles in Jism 2 and Heroine. On July 13, 2012 you can also see him in a cameo in the movie Cocktail!
Here are some of the actor’s quotes so you can get a better look into the workings of his mind.. 🙂

  • Seriously I suspected I was a good actor, though I didn’t know it during ‘Monsoon Wedding’. Now I realize the more I learn the less I know about acting… and life.
  • At the end of the day an actor is only a cog in the wheel. But experience helps. I’ve done six films in as many years. But I’ve learnt a lot more. I’m losing my unawareness and becoming more humble.
  • Everyone wants to be famous, so do I. But I cannot lose sleep over it. Today, I am not a huge box-office hit nor am I on the cover of film magazines.

Here’s what people are saying on Twitter about Hooda!

  1. Dying I think there was an interesting point in the aolnagy here, but I hesitate to guess what it is. There are significant differences between people practicing a faith but attending the church of an “adjacent” denomination and people who are dissatisfied with a certain church/denomination and go set up their own which is what a new programming language would be analogous to.

  3. aaaawww! I am the same, I wish people would describe my style as the picture you posted, I try to be tidy and stay tidy, I through out things every month or so. But still, my closet is chaotic, my painting place, my room, my university binders…haha, can't complain much, can be fun, too!bisous, mia

  6. Amen! I can have a beer (please note the word/letter “a” for all those who believe in prohibition)after a hard day of work while watching SHU play. This is America. Now all I need is for it to be a reasonable price, but beggers can not be choosers.Did they explain or show how they cover the upper seats/level for not well attended games?BB

  7. And to think that if she had just raised her PRAYER WARRIOR SKILLS a little higher, she could have easily transformed herself from a mountainous, monsterly mistake into lovely little lady for the lord! PLEASE PEOPLE REMEMBER TO PRAY HARDER! ‘Cause we clearly aren’t. 😉
